“Alright everyone, calm down please.” Albus Dumbledore was rubbing his forehead, something he often did while he was thinking; or while he was very annoyed.
“Please!” He said.
“Everybody quiet down!” He shouted a third time. All heads turned his way and all voices were quieted.
“Good. Now to start off we’ll have-err-Mister Filch.” Mister Filch, with Mrs. Norris in hand, stepped up to the podium.
“Well I got two problems. One, there been lots o’ mud in the Great Hall lately. I need to know who dumped it in there and what kind o’ punishment they gonna get.”
“Err- alright. Thank-“
“I ain’t done! Someone been settin’ fake teeth on my cat. They was chasin’ her an’ one got stuck on her tail. They look like the kind muggles use. They’re hurtin’ my cat and I want to see some justice here!”
“Thank you Mister Filch. A round of applause?” nobody clapped. “Alright then. Um, Madam Pince?” Madam Pince stepped up to the podium with numerous books in her hands. She said not a word, but simply flipped through the books.
She held up one, Fantastic Beast’s and Where to Find Them. Several pictures of the creatures on that page had been drawn. For example, next to the description of a Quintaped, there was a drawing of one.
And there were several drawings of brooms and players and writings of “CHUDLEY CANNONS!” and “PUDDLEMERE UNITED ROCKS!” and things like that.
“ABUSE!” She shouted. Then she stepped down from the podium and sat in her seat.
“Um… okay. Madam Pince everybody.” Nobody clapped. Madma Pince stuck her nose up in the air and dove into a book.
